The Kenji Racing Team is an electric racing motorcycle building team at John von Neumann University, which has been involving students from the University's Faculty of Engineering and Economics since 2014. The main goal of the team is to participate in the biennial International MotoStudent competition. We were the first in the world to use aluminium foam as the core material in a carbon fibre sandwich structure frame and swingarm for a racing motorcycle, winning 3rd place in the Innovation Project in 2016. In 2018, we had the lightest electric motorcycle at the MotoStudent. In 2021, we came 11th overall out of 42 teams competing. In addition, from 2021, our team will also participate in the Moto Engineering Italy international competition, where we took 4th place overall for the first time. And this year we are preparing for the VII MotoStudent race, building a brand new bike and racing it in October.
