The history of SZOMEL Kft. goes back to 1999, when the founder-owner of the company began to provide translation-interpretation services as private entrepreneur, primarily in the field of radio technology. As a result of market growth these activities were continued by SZOMEL Kft. from 2004, the year when the agency representing highly skilled translators and interpreters was actually founded, having translated several tens of millions of characters since then, along with the adaptation of various professional books into English and Hungarian, and the interpretation of many domestic conferences. In addition to all these, if requested, SZOMEL Kft. also supports to the execution of events by providing video and audio conferencing services with its Partners.

In parallel with the translation agency activities, SZOMEL Kft. also operates as a prototyping design house, specialized in satisfying custom requirements, its primary profile extending to various RF tests, broadcasting systems related laboratory and field measurements, high frequency circuit design and engineering consultancy. A flagship within these activities is the provision of professional training courses: SZOMEL Kft. has presented nearly 100 professional courses since 2004, each individually tailored to custom requirements, covering, amongst others, 2G/3G/4G/5G systems, various broadcasting systems (DAB/T-DMB, DVB-T/T2/S/S2/C/C2, DOCSIS 3.1, DRM, etc.), the opearion and measuring technology of instruments (spectrum analyzers, test receivers, oscilloscopes, network analyzers), and high frequency measuring technology.
